The journey of Perp's sound creation is a fusion of modern synthesis and vintage warmth. Each drum hit was initially generated using a custom-built hybrid drum synthesizer built in Phase Plant, providing a unique and rich sonic starting point. These initial sounds were then ported on to a Maschine+, driving them through a high-quality discrete circuit to add body and character. The final touch involved processing with advanced DSP algorithms, imbuing each hit with intricate time and pitch-based effects. Select sounds were further enhanced by being passed through a 60's Akai reel-to-reel, infusing them with an extra layer of warmth and nostalgia.
